[Watch] Cyclone Yaas: Rain Lashes Paradip; Evacuation Starts In Vulnerable Areas

Paradip: As Cyclone Yaas moves closer to Odisha coast, the Port Town of Paradip has started feeling the impact. Dark clouds hovered over the town and rain lashed several areas.

Meanwhile, the municipal administration has started evacuation of people from the  vulnerable areas to safety.

People residing in Sandhakuda, Nehru Bangla Basti and Nuabazar areas, which are more vulnerable, have been asked to shift to cyclone shelters with immediate effect.

The local administration is making announcements over public address systems and requesting people to shift to cyclone shelters.

The local municipal administration said total evacuation process is planned to be completed by tomorrow morning.
