Balasore: As the very severe cyclonic storm Yaas inched closer to Odisha coast, strong onshore winds pushed high tide into the seaside villages in Talsara panchayat of Jaleswar block in Balasore district in the early hours of Wednesday.
The ingress of the seawater accompanied by heavy rain damaged several thatched and mud houses, sources said, adding that the high tide has damaged a number of fishing boats.
