Bhubaneswar: There will be heavy rainfall in the north coastal and adjoining districts of Odisha on Wednesday under the influence of a cyclonic circulation that has formed over North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.
Besides, there will be thunderstorms and lightning in the south coastal districts. The rainfall activity will continue till Friday, the IMD added.
In view of the heavy rainfall, yellow warning has been issued for the following districts.
August 3
Thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Khurda and Puri.
August 4
Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapada.
Thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul and Khurda.
August 5
Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
August 6
Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh and Deogarh.
