Cylinder Blast Kills 2 Ex-Defence Personnel In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Two former defence personnel were killed after an LPG cylinder explosed inside a house at Kharinasi in Kendrapara on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Prakash Chandra Samantray and Sushant Sahoo. Both of them were ex-defence staff and at present working as boatmen in Kendrapara’s Jamboo Marine police station area.

According to sources, the house caught fire after the LPG cylinder suddenly exploded while the victims were cooking in the morning. Samantray died on the spot and Sahu succumbed later to his injuries at the Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital.

On being informed, a fire tender rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.
