Bhubaneswar/Berhampur: A senior clerk of Regulated Market Committee (RMC) in Nabarangpur district and a Hindi teacher in Ganjam district have landed in Vigilance net for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
Vigilance sleuths of Berhampur division conducted simultaneous raids at nine properties of Bhubanananda Sahu, a Hindi teacher of Jashoda High School, Jhadankuli under Rangeilunda Block in Ganjam district, in Berhampur, Bhubaneswar and Puri town.
According to Vigilance sources, his residential house at Baikunthanagar in Berhampur, another house at Baikunthanagar, a four-storey building at Brahmanagar in Berhampur, one shop at Nimakhandi in Berhampur, a rented house at Kalpana Square in Bhubaneswar, a 3BHK flat at Sundarpada in Bhubaneswar, one 1BHK flat at Puri Town, office at Jashoda High School, a house at native place Chikiti in Ganjam district, a private school run by his family members near Chikiti, were searched.
In Nabarangpur, a team of vigilance sleuths raided the ancestral single-storey house at Bhatisalaguda, his two-storey residence at Ichabatiguda and office chamber at Nabarangpur of RMC senior clerk Ashok Nanda this morning.
