Dacoity bid foiled, 8 nabbed in state capital

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Wednesday foiled a dacoity bid with the arrest of eight persons in the state capital.

Six bombs, four rods, three billhooks, five packets of chilli powder and as many cell phones were seized from them.

The arrests were made following raids at different places, police sources said.

In another incident, Nayapalli police seized 21 kg of ganja from Hathiasahi Chhak here and arrested two persons in this connection.

Those arrested were identified as Swapna Sahu and Sanu Pradhan. A motorcycle was recovered from them.
