Nabarangpur: A gang of four dacoits looted cash and ornaments from the house of a doctor in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district late on Friday night.
According to reports, the four dacoits knocked the door of Pradip Praharaj, a doctor of a government hospital at Indravati, in Nabarangpur town in the late night. As the doctor opened the door, they identified themselves as patients. Later, they overpowered the doctor and looted cash worth Rs 40,000 and 50 grams of gold ornaments after threatening the family members with sharp weapons.
Following the incident, Praharaj lodged a complaint with the Town Police. Efforts are on to nab the dacoits, police said.
