Bhubaneswar: The daily caseload in Odisha remained below 600 for the third consecutive day on Thursday as 565 more people, including 63 in the age group of 0-18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 545 and 585 new infections on Wednesday and Tuesday respectively.
With these fresh cases being detected from 58,635 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) dropped to 0.96 per cent from 1.03 per cent the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 328 are in quarantine and 237 are local contacts. Khurda reported the highest 256 cases followed by Cuttack at 61. These two districts accounted for 56 per cent of the fresh infections. Five districts reported nil cases.

Besides, 56 are from the state pool.
While the affected tally has touched 1025874, Odisha now has 5513 active cases.
