Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 positive cases in the Capital City, which was around 20 for the last one week, witnessed a major spike to 50 in the last 24 hours.
Bhubaneswar had seen 20, 24 and 23 new infections on the last 3 days with highest 34 reported on March 22.
Most of the new cases of the day are from local contacts. According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (MC), 46 new cases are local contacts while four are from quarantine.
With this, the affected tally in the city has touched 3,23,13 and 179 among them are active cases.
