Daily COVID Caseload: 4 Places In Bhubaneswar Report Over 100 New Cases

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload continued to rise in the capital city with 1402 cases reported till 9 am of Tuesday taking up total active cases to 9,496.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the daily caseload crossed 100 in Patia, Khandagiri, Chandrasekharpur and Nayapalli areas of the city.

As many as 1360 COVID positive cases were reported till 9 am of Monday against 1321 till 9 am on Sunday and 1233 on Saturday.

Of the total new cases, 1358 patients are local contacts while 44 are from quarantine.

Of the local contact cases, 119 cases are from Patia, 113 each are from Khandagiri and Chandrasekharpur, 105 from Nayapalli, 76 are from ld Town, 49 are from Jaydev Vihar, 45 from Rasulgarh, 39 from Jharpada and 35 from Laxmi Sagar.

A total of 696 persons recovered from the infection during the period taking the total number of recoveries to 1,25,676.

No new fatalities due to COVD were reported from the city during the same period with the toll remaining at 1105. The total cases stood at 1,36,928.
