Bhubaneswar: There has been a consistent rise in daily caseload in Odisha capital for the last three days. The last 24 hours saw 243 new COVID cases, while 234 and 171 infections were reported on Thursday and Wednesday respectively.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 47 of the new cases from quarantine and 196 local contacts,
Of the local contacts, maximum of 11 cases have been reported from Rasulgarh, followed by 10 from Patia and 9 each from Old Town and Saheed Nagar.
Another 256 patients recovered from the deadly disease during the period. The city has seen no COVID deaths in the last 24 hours.
Bhubaneswar now has 3,068 active cases while the affected tally has gone up to 1,07,580, the BMC stated.
