Bhubaneswar: The capital city registered a marginal increase in daily COVID caseload on Tuesday 152 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours compared to 118 patients on Monday.
The city had reported 149 cases on Sunday and 157 on Saturday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 49 of the new patients on the day are from quarantine and 103 local contacts.
Of the local contacts, maximum 9 cases were reported from Unit VIII, followed by 7 from Nayapalli, and 5 each from Chandrasekharpur and Pokhariput.
As many as 155 patients recovered from the disease while the number of deceased due to COVID went up to 1,027 with one more death reported during the period.
The active cases stood at 3,428 while total 1,13,640 people have been infected by the virus so far.
