Daily COVID Caseload Crosses 200 Again In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Chandrasekharpur reported the highest COVID positive cases in the city where 213 persons tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours.

The daily caseload in the city had remained below 200 for the last three consecutive day. The number of infected persons was 182 on Wednesday, 163 on Tuesday and 174 on Monday.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 46 of the new infections are from quarantine and 167 local contacts.

Of the local contacts, maximum of 14 cases have been reported from Chandrasekharpur for the second day, followed by 8 each from Saheed Nagar and Old Town.

Bhubaneswar also saw another 160 patients recovering from the disease during the period. The number of deceased due to COVID has remained same at 1013.

The active cases have gone up to 3,573 while 1,10,186 people have been infected so far.
