Bhubaneswar: After a gap of four days, the daily COVID caseload crossed 200 on Wednesday with 218 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had registered 175 COVID positive cases on Tuesday, 178 cases on Monday, 160 on Sunday, 173 on Saturday and 286 on Friday.
According to the I & PR department, 127 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 91 local contacts. Among them, 28 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 117 cases, followed by Cuttack (15) and Sundargarh (14). Eleven districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 61,764 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.35%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,52,145, Odisha now has 1,925 active cases.
