Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload continued its upward march in the capital city as 710 new positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The city witnessed 619 cases on Monday and 574 cases on Sunday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), of the day’s total cases, 685 patients are local contacts while 25 are from quarantine.
Of the local contact cases, the highest 54 cases are from Patia, followed by 35 from Patrapada, 33 from Old Town, 30 from CRPF campus, 29 from Nayapalli, 26 from Saheed Nagar, 22 from Jharpada and 20 from Rasulgarh.
As many as 107 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours while the casualty remained same as yesterday at 1,103.
The active cases went up to 3,928 while total 1,27,976 people have been infected by the virus so far.
