Daily COVID Caseload Drops Below 150 In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in the capital city dropped below 150 on Friday as 142 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The city reported 168 daily cases on Thursday, 175 on Wednesday, 149 on Tuesday and 168 the previous day.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 47 of the new patients on the day are from quarantine and 95 local contacts.

Of the local contacts, maximum 9 cases were reported from Patia, followed by 8 from Khandagiri and 4 each from Nayapalli, Mancheswar and Niladri Vihar.

As many as 256 patients recovered from the disease while the number of deaths due to the COVID went up to 1,052 with one casualty reported during the period.

The active cases stood at 3,015 while total 1,18,076 people have been infected by the virus so far.
