Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in the capital city dropped below 200 on Sunday as 170 new positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
The city had reported 184 positive cases on Saturday, 231 on Friday, 233 on Thursday, 209 on Wednesday, 194 on Tuesday and 144 on Monday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 48 of the new patients on the day are from quarantine and 122 local contacts.
Of the local contacts, maximum 9 cases were reported from Baramunda, followed by 7 each from Pokharipur and Nayapalli and 6 each from Badgarh and Unit VIII.
The active cases stood at 3,495 while total 1,17,274 people have been infected by the virus so far.
