Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped below 300 on Monday as 276 more people, including 55 in the age group of 0-18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had reported 318 new cases on Sunday, 208 new cases on Saturday, 170 on Friday and 351 on Thursday.
According to the I & PR department, 159 of the new infections are from quarantine and 117 local contacts. Khurda district registered the highest 138 cases, followed by Cuttack (17). Twelve districts reported nil cases.

Besides, 31 are from the state pool.
With these cases detected from 59,774 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.46 per cent. The TPR was 0.50 per cent on Sunday.
While the COVID-19 tally has touched 10,43,745, Odisha now has 3,134 active cases.
