Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a drop in daily COVID caseload as 173 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 286 the previous day.
The state had reported 195 cases on Thursday, 255 on Wednesday, 151 on Tuesday, 105 on Monday, 189 on Sunday and 193 cases on Saturday.
According to the I & PR department, 21 of the new infections are from quarantine and 102 local contacts. Among them, 21 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 86 cases followed by 19 in Mayurbhanj. Ten districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 57,269 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.30%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,51,414, Odisha now has 2,001 active cases.
