Daily COVID Caseload Remains Below 200 For 5 Days In A Row In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in the capital city remained below 200 for five days in a row as 194 persons tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours.

The city had reported 144 positive cases on Monday, 158 on Sunday, 141 on Saturday, 191 on Friday and 216 on Thursday.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 68 of the new patients on the day are from quarantine and 126 local contacts.

Of the local contacts, maximum 10 cases were reported from Patia, followed by 8 from Nayapalli and 7 from Chandrasekharpur.

As many as 183 patients recovered from the disease while the number of deceased due to COVID remained at 1,044 with no deaths reported during the period.

The active cases stood at 3,561 while total 1,16,247 people have been infected by the virus so far.
