Daily COVID Caseload Remains Below 200 In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in the capital city remained below 200 on Friday as 180 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 62 of the new patients on the day are from quarantine and 118 local contacts.

Of the local contacts, maximum 8 cases each were reported from Patia and Old Town, followed by 6 each from Saheed Nagar and 5 each from Bapuji Nagar, Niladri Vihar, Palasuni and Unit VIII.

The city also saw 212 patients recovering from the virus during the period while the number of deceased due to COVID was 1,018.

The active cases stood at 3,644 while total 1,13,064 people have been infected by the virus so far.

The city had reported 240 positive cases on Thursday, 173 on Wednesday, 145 on Tuesday and 147 on Monday.
