Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload stayed below 4000 for the second consecutive day on Wednesday with 3535 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
A total of 3405 fresh infections were reported on Tuesday.
The test positivity rate (TPR) was 6.02 per cent with the new cases being detected from 58,695 samples sent for tests.
According to the I & PR department, 2016 of the infections were from quarantine and 1519 local contacts.
Khurda reported the highest 533 new infections, followed by Jajpur (348), Cuttack (320) Balasore (296) and Angul (183).

With this, Odisha now has 47,796 active cases and four hotspot districts – Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Balasore. In TPR, 10 districts have been tagged as Red Zone.
