Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 cases in the capital city, which remained above 200 for two days, came down to 187 in the last 24 hours.
The city had reported 213 cases on Friday, 229 on Thursday, 170 on Wednesday, 197 on Tuesday and 168 on Monday.
The fresh cases included 28 from quarantine and 159 local contacts, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Among the local contacts, maximum 14 cases were reported from Patia, followed by 9 from Old Town and 8 each from Sundarpada and Saheed Nagar.
While 241 patients have recovered from the disease during the period, the number of deceased has remained at 990 with no more death reported in the last 24 hours.
The city now has 3,303 active cases while the affected tally has touched 10,6,266, the BMC added.
