Bhubaneswar: The new COVID cases in the capital city continued to fall for third consecutive day on Wednesday when 182 people tested positive for the disease compared to 233 on Tuesday and 286 on Monday.
Of the new cases registered in the last 24 hours, 28 were from quarantine and 154 local contacts, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Of the local contact cases, 11 each were reported from Chandrasekharpur, Old Town and Patia, followed by 10 each from Nayapalli and Khandagiri.
As many as 175 patients recovered from the disease during the period while the number of deceased touched 789. The city now has 2062 active cases.
