New Delhi: The country registered 281,386 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the Health & Family Welfare Ministry informed on Monday.
It was for the first time in 26 days that the daily caseload has dipped below the 3-lakh mark.
In another encouraging development, the weekly positivity rate also saw a decline with the figure standing at 18.17% on Monday.
Also, the country reported 378,741 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 21,174,076 on Monday.
This is another positive trend as the 24-hour recoveries have outnumbered the daily new COVID Cases for the sixth time in the last 7 days and consistently in the last 4 days.
