Daily COVID Cases Go Above 200 Again In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID cases again went above 200 in Odisha capital on Sunday after slipping below it on Saturday.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), as many as 220 new cases were registered in Bhubaneswar on Sunday compared to 191 on Saturday and 237 on Friday. Total 165 recovered cases were reported from the city during the period.

Of the new cases on the day, maximum 38 were reported from Patia, followed by 19 from Chandrasekharpur, 15 from Old Town, 12 from Patrapada, 11 from Nayapalli and 10 from Khandagiri.

The COVID active cases in Bhubaneswar have gone up to 1,347 while 1,193 patients have succumbed to the disease so far.

The total cases now stand at 1,62,159 while 1,59,598 patients have recovered from COVID till date, the BMC stated in a tweet.
