Bhubaneswar: Daily COVID caseload in Odisha continued to remain below the 200-mark for the second consecutive day on Sunday with 131 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 146 infections on Saturday and 203 on Friday.
According to the state I & PR Department, 77 cases are from quarantine and 54 local contacts. Of the fresh cases, 15 are in the 0-18 years age group. The state has 1,276 active cases currently.

Besides, five cases are from the state pool.
It is pertinent to mention here that on Saturday the Odisha government urged people to take the COVID booster dose in view of the upcoming festive season. The free COVID vaccination drive is underway at 1,100 centres. “More than one crore people have been inoculated with the booster dose,” said state Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi.
