Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha remained above 200 for the third consecutive day on Friday as 228 people tested positive in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 225 cases on Thursday, 221 cases on Wednesday, 156 cases on Tuesday, and 123 and 112 cases on Monday and Sunday respectively.
According to the I & PR department, 131 of the new infections are from quarantine and 97 local contacts. Among them, 32 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 105 new cases followed by Sundargarh (15) and Cuttack (12). Six districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 61,277 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.37%.
