Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a further drop in daily COVId caseload on Tuesday as 37 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 43 the previous day.
It is for the fourth consecutive day that the single-day count remained below 50 in the state.
The state had reported 48 and 43 new cases on March 27 and 26 respectively after 55 were found infected on March 25.
According to the I & PR department, 22 of the new infections are from quarantine and 15 local contacts. Nine among them are in the age group of 0-18 years. These cases have been detected in 16 of 30 districts in the state with the highest of seven from Sundargarh.

With these cases being detected from 39,368 samples, the daily test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.09 per cent.
Odisha now has 406 active cases with 49 more recoveries in the last 24 hours. While three districts – Kalahandi, Keonjhar and Puri- are COVID-free, 14 have active cases in single digit.
