Daily COVID Positive Cases Fall Below 200 In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID positive cases went below 200 after two days as 190 persons tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours. The city had reported 243 new cases on Friday and 234 on Thursday.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 47 of the new cases are from quarantine and 145 local contacts.

Of the local contacts, maximum of 14 cases have been reported from Nayapalli, followed by 11 from Patia, and 7 each from Khandagiri and Acharya Vihar.

Another 243 patients recovered from the disease during the period. The city reported one more COVID death in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 1003.

Bhubaneswar now has 3,014 active cases while the affected tally has gone up to 1,07,770, the BMC stated.
