Bhubaneswar: The COVID positive cases in the capital city continued to remain below 200 for third day on Wednesday as 182 new patients were registered in the last 24 hours.
The number of infected persons was 163 on Tuesday, 174 on Monday and 214 on Sunday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 45 of the new infections are from quarantine and 137 local contacts.
Of the local contacts, maximum of 11 cases have been reported from Chandrasekharpur, followed by 10 each from Nayapalli and Patia.
Bhubaneswar also saw another 154 patients recovering from the disease during this period. The number of deceased due to COVID has increased to 1013.
The active cases have gone up to 3,520 while 1,09,973 people have been infected so far.
