Bhubaneswar: The upward trend in daily COVID cases continued for the second consecutive day on Wednesday with 199 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 164 cases on Tuesday and 125 cases on Monday.
According to the I & PR Department, 116 fresh cases are from quarantine and 83 local contacts. Among them, 40 are in the age group of 0-18 years.

Besides, eight cases are from the state pool.
With 13,730 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) was 1.44 per cent. The number of active cases stood at 1,448.
