Daily New COVID-19 Cases Show Rising Trend In Odisha’s Cuttack City

Cuttack: After the slide in daily number of COVID-19 cases in the city for 3 days, it has started rising in the city since Wednesday. The areas under Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area reported 74 new cases during the last 24 hours.

While 67 new patients were detected on Wednesday, 54 tested positive on Tuesday, 64 on Monday, 71 on Sunday and 85 on Saturday.

Of the new cases on the day, 14 were detected in institutional quarantine centres and 19 in home quarantine, while 41 were local contact cases.

With the latest addition, the total positives cases in the city have gone up to 14,424. At the same time, with 63 recoveries reported during the period, the total reached 13,483.

While 66 patients have succumbed to the disease so far, there are 875 active cases in at present, according to the CMC.
