Paradip: To empower local youths, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), in collaboration with Gurukul foundation, has set up ‘Daksh Academy’ at Paradip in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district.
The coaching centre was inaugurated on November 5 by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, who urged the local youths to make the most of the opportunity and enrol in large numbers in the academy.
Established under AM/NS India’s flagship CSR programme ‘Daksh’, the centre aims to provide free, high-quality coaching to aspirants preparing for government and competitive exams, including IAS, OAS, Banking, Railways, Defence, OSSC, OSSSC, OPSC, Clerk, Teacher, Secretariat and many more, the company said in a release.
Equipped with smart classrooms, career counselling, digital library, computer lab with Wi-Fi, and a team of experienced faculty, Daksh Academy will also offer soft-skills training, interview preparation, and personality development sessions to enhance employability and confidence among students, it added.
“Education has always been a key focus area for AM/NS India. Through various career-oriented initiatives, we aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in competitive examinations. The launch of Daksh Academy is a significant step in boosting the confidence of aspiring candidates and supporting them in their career path,” said USR Raju, Head-Paradeep Pellet Plant, AM/NS India.
Vikas Yadvendu, Head-CSR, AM/NS India and Suraj Mishra, Director and Founder, Gurukul Academy, were also present.
