Baripada: The total COVID-19 cases in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district touched 433 on Friday with 22 fresh cases being reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, one case each has been reported from Jashipur, Kaptipada, Kuliana, Sukruli, Suliapada, Morada block, Baripada municipality, and Udala NAC area, two each from Bisoi, Badasahi, Kusumi and GBNagar blocks and six cases from Raruan block.
Three are returnees from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Daman & Diu respectively.
Of 18 local contact cases, one case each is from Kuliana, Morada, Baripada municipality, and Udala NAC area. Two cases each belong to Bisoi, Badasahi, GB Nagar, Kusumi blocks, and six cases to Raruan block.
Another corona warrior at Suliapada block has also tested positive for the virus.
Contact tracing of all positive cases is underway, the administration tweeted.
With 285 recoveries, the Mayurbhanj district has 146 active cases.
