Patna: As bizarre as it may sound. a miscreant gunned won a grocery shop owner for being refused paan masala worth Rs 20 on credit in Bihar.
Police said that the accused Ajit Kumar had an argument with the owner when he asked for cash against purchase of a paan masala pouch in Triveniganj, Supaul district.
Kumar left grudgingly but returned to the shop the next day with his accomplices on a bike. He repeated his demand, this time with the younger son of the owner who was manning the shop at that time.
According to eye witnesses, Kumar suddenly took out a pistol and shot him dead.
By the time people realized what had happened, the miscreants had fled.
Police have launched a massive manhunt to apprehend the killers.
“We have identified the assailants and raids are being carried out in the area to nab the culprits,” said Sheikh Hassan, SDM of Supaul.
