Bhubaneswar: Daringbadi recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius for the second consecutive night on Sunday, the lowest in Odisha.
In Bhubaneswar, the minimum temperature was 13.2 degrees Celsius while Cuttack recorded 14.2 degrees Celsius.
Other places that recorded night temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius are Sundergarh (14), Baripada (12.8), Jharsuguda (14.2), Hirakud (14.5), Keonjhar (12.4), Chandbali (13.2), Bolangir (14.4), Sonepur (13.4), Boudh (13), Angul (13.6), Phulbani (9.5), Nayagarh (13.2), Bhawanipatna (14.9), Rayagada (14.1), Paralakhemundi (14), Koraput (14) and Malkangiri (14.5).
The regional meteorological centre here has forecast light to moderate rain in parts of the state from January 11 to 14 due to a Western disturbance that will lead to a gradual rise in temperatures in the coming days. There is a possibility of hailstorm also, the Met dept said.
The Met dept has forecast rain in Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Balesore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj districts.
