Gurugram: The day after two groups clashed in Haryana’s Nuh district during a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) procession, a mob set fire to a restaurant and vandalised adjoining shops in Gurugram’s Badshahpur.
The violent mob of around 50-60 people ransacked shops owned by a particular community and chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in front of a mosque in the area, reported India Today.
The two-wheelers parked in the area pushed down by the mob.
Following today’s violence, the Badshahpur market was shut down.
On Monday, five people — including an imam and two home guards — were killed as violence spread from Nuh to Gurugram within hours.
Schools and colleges in Gurugram and Faridabad were closed today as Section 144 was imposed in Gurugram and Nuh.
