Bengaluru: A day after Union Railways Minister of State Suresh Angadi succumbed to COVID-19, the deadly virus claimed another serving politician — Congress legislator from Karnataka’s Bidar Arjun Basvakalyan Narayan Rao. He was 66.
The condition of Rao, who had been admitted to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru on September 1, deteriorated in the last few days. He suffered multi-organ failure and was on ventilator support in ICU, the hospital said.
