Bhubaneswar: The day temperature was more than 40 degree Celsius at some places and 3-5 degree Celsius above normal at several places in Interior Odisha. There will be no large change in the maximum temperature during the next 3 days, following which there will be a slight fall by around 2 degree Celsius in the subsequent two days in interior Odisha, the India Meteorological Department informed on Thursday.
The MeT office has also issued yellow warning for Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, and Kalahandi, which are likely to experience heatwave conditions on April 1.
Notably, Titlagarh, which has been topping the temperature chart for the last few days, was the hottest place in the state on Wednesday with mercury shooting up to 42.7 degree Celsius on the day from 41.5 degree on Tuesday and 40.5 degree on Monday.

Four other western Odisha towns recorded 41 degree Celsius and above – Balangir (42.5), Sonepur (41.9), Jharsuguda (41.2) and Bhawanipatna and Boudh 41 each.
While dry weather will prevail on April 2, Odisha is likely to witness rainfall activities the following two days, the IMD further said.
April 3

April 4
Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely over one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Kandhamal.
