Bhubaneswar: With most parts of Odisha witnessing a sharp rise in the day temperature on Thursday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the temperature will rise further in the next 48 hours despite thunderstorm warning in some districts.
According to an evening release by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Malkangiri was the hottest place with 40 degree Celsius while temperature remained close to 40 degree Celsius in Chandbali (37.2), Cuttack (38.2), Bhubaneswar (37.7), Angul (39.1), Baripada (38), Sambalpur (37.1), Talcher (38.1), Bhawanipatna (37.5), Balangir (38.8), Titlagarh (39), Sonepur (38.4) and Boudh (38).
On the other hand, IMD has issued a two-day yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph in the following districts.

Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Boudh, Angul, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.
March 30
Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Boudh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapada and Bhadrak.
