Ganjam:  The District Collector of Ganjam, Vijay Amruta Kulange worked with the local farmers in the field in Bharasa village of Khallikote in Ganjam on Monday.

The social media lauded him for his noble work.

The bureaucrat rolled up his sleeves and trousers and got down to work in the field. He transplanted paddy seedlings himself. He also interacted with the farmers to know their problems and shared about the farmers’ welfare scheme in the state.

Kulange is a 2013-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer.

According to sources, the Ganjam Collector had gone to Beguniapada village under Mathura Panchayat in the district to hear complaints. He saw farmers working in the field, while he was returning from the village. As he has interest in farming, he entered the paddy field and started working with other farmers.
