New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Three IAS officers, including Reghu G of Odisha cadre, have been shifted to Prime Minister’s Office.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the posting of Subhasish Panda, a 1997-batch IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, as Additional Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, “on lateral shift basis for balance period of his deputation tenure up to 02.01.2027, or until further orders whichever is earlier”.
Panda, who hails from Odisha, was serving as vice chairman of the Delhi Development Authority since January 2023.
Similarly, the 2011-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer Reghu G, who was serving as Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office. His deputation tenure ends on August 29, 2028.
Chandra Mohan Thakur, a 2012-batch IAS officer presently in Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been appointed Deputy Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, “for a tenure of four years from date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier”, the official notification issued on Thursday said.
Notably, Panda, who earlier served as Deputy Director, Administration in AIIMS, New Delhi, extended all support to the Odisha’s conjoined twins, Jaga and Balia, who stayed in AIIMS-New Delhi for two years for operation and recuperation. He also coordinated efforts to collect funds for the victims of cyclone Fani which hit Odisha in 2019. Panda along with former Director of AIIMS Dr Randip Guleria had presented a cheque of Rs 93.89 lakh to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the time.
