Death Toll In Nalco Angul Plant Fire Mishap Rises To 2

Bhubaneswar: The casualty in National Aluminium Company (NALCO) Angul unit fire mishap rose to two with the death of one more person while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Rajanikant Parida, a resident of Kangula Bentapur village in Angul district.

Mithun Nath, a contractual worker at the PSU and a resident of Patanasahi village, had succumbed to burns while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in New Delhi on August 1.

Four persons, including two students and a woman, sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out in the Smelter Casthouse-B unit of the plant on June 23.
