Cuttack: Former Indian fast bowler Debasis Mohanty will replace Shiv Sundar Das as the head coach of Odisha Ranji team.
The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) informed on Saturday.
Das, a former Indian opening batsman, has been appointed as the new technical director of the Odisha Cricket Academy.
Mohanty had earlier served as the top coach of Odisha senior team from 2011 till August 2017. As a coach, he had led East Zone team led them to its first ever Duleep Trophy.
He has played in two Tests and 45 One Day Internationals for the country between 1997 to 2001. In 1999 Cricket World Cup, he emerged as the second highest wicket taker for India.
