New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the government will be soon reaching a decision on changing the minimum marriage of girls, after it receives the report from the committee set up for this matter, reported New Indian Express.
He made the announcement at a video conference after releasing a commemorative coin with Rs 75 denomination on the 75th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
The prime minister said that he had received several letters from women regarding the decision and the recommendations of the committee. “I want to assure them, the government will soon take its decision after the submission of the report.”, he said.
