Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for several districts of Odisha, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Kataka, till 7.15 pm on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain, thunder, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 40 kmph may continue in the districts of Khorda (including Bhubaneswar city), Kataka (including Kataka city), Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nayagada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Sonpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamala, Kalahandi, Balangir and Nuapada, with the Deep Depression over Westcentral & adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal expected to cross North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coasts between Vishakhapatnam and Gopalpur, close to Kalingapatnam, tonight.

Residents and commuters in the affected regions are advised to monitor changing weather conditions closely and take precautionary measures to ensure safety during sudden wind gusts or lightning activity.
