Bhubaneswar: The depression over the north Andaman sea and adjoining areas of the south Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to concentrate into a deep depression by Sunday morning.
According to the midday bulletin, it is very likely to recurve gradually north-northeastwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm over the central Bay of Bengal by October 24 morning.
Thereafter, it would continue to move north-northeastwards and cross Bangladesh coast between Tinkona Island and Sandwip around October 25 early morning, added MeT.
The weather department has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall on Sunday and Monday. Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, and Puri from 8.30 am October 23 till 8.30 am October 24.
The downpour will continue at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, and Cuttack from 8.30 am October 24 to 8.30 am October 25.
