Deepika Padukone ‘Most Viewed’ Star Of Last Decade; Check Others In Top 20

Mumbai: Internet Movie Database (IMDb) on Wednesday released a list of top 100 most-viewed Indian stars of the last decade (2014-2024), which features a number of familiar names, along with some unexpected figures also.

The gorgeous Deepika Padukone has emerged as the most-viewed Indian star of the last 10 years.

IMDb, an online database of information related to films, television series, podcasts, home videos, video games and online streaming content, has curated the list based on actual page views of over 250 million monthly visitors to its website worldwide.

The 38-year-old Deepika, pregnant with her first child with husband Ranveer Singh (he is at No. 19), was part of two blockbuster films ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ last year, both starring Shah Rukh Khan. She will next be seen ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and ‘Singham Again’, which will hit theatres later this year.

Deepika was ‘humbled’ and ‘inspired’ by the recognition.

“I’m deeply grateful to be included in a list that captures the sentiment of a global audience. IMDb stands as a beacon of credibility, reflecting the true pulse of people’s passion, interests, and preferences. This recognition is truly humbling and inspires me to continue connecting with and reciprocating the love I receive from audiences, both on and off screen, with authenticity and purpose,” Deepika said in a statement.

It’s no surprise that Shah Rukh, going strong at 58, follows Deepika in the coveted list, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (No. 3), Alia Bhatt (4) and the late Irrfan Khan (5) complete the top 5.

At No. 7 is another departed actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead in his Bandra home in June 2020. His untimely death, at the age of 34, cut short a promising career and remains a mystery.

“For years, entertainment fans have relied on IMDb to stay updated on their favorite stars. This definitive list, powered by our authoritative data, offers insight into the evolution of India’s entertainment landscape over the past decade. As we celebrate the immense fandom of Indian actors across the globe, IMDb will continue to help fans connect more deeply with emerging and established talent,” Yaminie Patodia, head of IMDb India, said in a statement.

Among interesting names in the top 20 are Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Triptii Dimri, Nayanthara and Tamannaah Bhatia.
