Deepika, Ranveer Reveal Daughter’s Name; Check Their Sweet Post

Mumbai: As the country celebrates the festival of lights and happiness, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh chose this joyful time to introduce the light of their life to the world.

The Bollywood couple, blessed with a baby girl on September 8, on Friday shared the first picture of their daughter and also revealed her name — Dua Padukone Singh.

“Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह.. ‘Dua’: meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer,” the star duo wrote in a touching and sweet post on Instagram along with a charming photograph of their baby girl’s tiny feet.

Fellow Bollywood star Alia Bhatt was the first to react to the joint post of DeepVeer, as they are popularly called by netizens.

Alia dropped a series of love and heart emojis, and was quickly followed by hundreds of Deepika and Ranveer’s fans as well as artistes.

Deepika and Ranveer, who have co-starred in films like ‘Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘83’, welcomed their first child a day after Deepika was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai.

“Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024,” was how they announced the news in a joint Instagram post.
